Jules started working in the automotive industry in 1989. He has been a licensed smog technician since 1998. He has owned a test and repair smog station and a test only smog station. His current business, the smog center, Inc. which is a top rated bay area star test only station in Santa Rosa, has conducted smog inspections on over 65,000 vehicles since it opened in 2003. Students will be working with and learning from a teacher/technician who has spent many years tutoring at the university and community college level and more importantly actually running a busy smog facility.
Jules holds a bachelor of science degree from Cal State Chico’s school of engineering, computer science, and construction (ECC) with a degree in construction management. Jules also holds a certificate in automotive technology from college of Marin. He is ASE certified in A-1, A-6, A-7, A-8, and L-1. He is also a bureau of automotive repair certified instructor.
While attending Cal State Chico, he tutored many students in various engineering and construction subjects including electrical circuits and engineering mechanics. While attending college of Marin, he tutored students in physics, math, and automotive technology. It was during this time that he realized he loved teaching/tutoring and helping others to understand difficult subject matter.
